It sharpens things up.<\/strong> Edges get crisper. Eyebrows look more defined, eyelashes pop more, lip lines get cleaner. On buildings and landscapes, you can see more surface detail too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It cleans up noise and grain.<\/strong> If your photo is grainy from bad lighting or it’s been saved and re-saved a bunch of times as a JPEG, Airbrush does a decent job smoothing that out. This was actually one of the better things about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We picked six images that cover the kind of stuff people actually need to enhance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. An old family photo<\/strong> \u2014 scanned from a print, faded and grainy<\/li>

  4. A video call screenshot<\/strong> \u2014 low-res, a little blurry<\/li>
  5. A marketing banner<\/strong> \u2014 has text, logos, and a gradient background<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    We ran every image through Airbrush Photo Enhancer (AI Ultra HD, 2X upscale) and Artguru (default settings, 4X upscale). Both times we used the free web version. No extra editing afterward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Airbrush is clearly built around portrait editing, and it shows. The portrait came out looking sharper, the skin looked smoother without looking fake, and the eyes had more detail. Fancier features cost more \u2014 Video \u2264 1 minute cost 2 credits and Video > 1 minute costs 2 credits or more based on the video length. The big catch: your credits expire at the end of every billing cycle. They don’t carry over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Artguru: the best alternative to Airbrush photo enhancer<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Artguru came from a different direction. It started as an AI art generator and face-swap tool, but has since pivoted to focus squarely on the enhancer space \u2014 offering a Photo Enhancer<\/a>, Image Upscaler, Video Enhancer, and PDF Enhancer under one roof.
